Before & After

Canopy Maintenance

  • The perfect shade tree doesn't just happen.  It is guided into shape by careful trimming throughout its life.

Healthy Structure Depelopment

  • Left on it's own without forest stresses, a young tree will turn into an unruly bush.  Annual pruning guides a tree to healthy structural maturity with a straight trunk and strong, well-spaced boughs.

Injury Recovery

  • An injured tree will undergo a healing process just like an injured human.
  • Also like a human, the speed of recovery and the size of the scar are dependent on proper treatment.

Crape Myrtle Recovery

  • One of the most extreme examples of bad pruning practice is known as "pollarding."  This is commonly practiced on Crape Myrtle and yields a tree that is beautiful while in bloom and ugly at all other times. Your trees should be attractive even without leaves.
  • A healthy tree can recover from pollarding with careful annual pruning.
